Installing an hour meter to a coil pack.

Hi there,
Have had some customers have trouble with the RHK hour meter. They have mentioned that they don't work. Nick, our work experience student this week has done a little research into why this problem has occured. The instructions on the back of the packaging are correct but for those who have a bike with a distributer only. Newer bikes and Japanese bikes will run a coil pack. The wires running into the coil pack don't give enough voltage for the hour meter sensor wire to pick up a reading as to if the bike is running or not. Therefore the hour meter is unable to function correctly.

Below is a step by step guide to installing an RHK hour meter to a coil pack.

1. Remove parts to reveal coil pack

2. Attach hour meter in desired location with either double sided tape or velcro.

3. Clean top of motor so it is free from dirt

4. Run wire to coil pack from hour meter leaving enough wire to be attached to wire harness

5. Slip down waterproof rubber boot and wrap the hour meter wire around the coil pack 4 times

6. Wrap electrical tape over wire to hold it in place

7. Slide waterproof rubber boot back over wire

8. Ensure boot is installed correctly
9. Reinstall coil pack and connector then zip tie hour meter wire to wire harness

10. Reassemble bike
HAPPY COUNTING!

What a beautiful day. Bit windy out but the sun is shining so that's a bonus.
Been a busy morning. I have been putting the 2012 One gear onto my website so that anyone who would like to pre order a new set of gear can do so before it arrives. Am very pleased with how my website is looking & functioning.
I have a 2012 THOR catalouge in store for anyone who would like to have a look at what's available through them this year.
Well, have a van to pack so I'd best be off. Quad National Titles at Coolum tomorrow.

Friday 30th Sept

Happy Friday!
The weather is just beautiful outside today. If the weekend is like this it'll be a good one for getting your bikes out and going for a ride.
My son is out riding today. He is doing some coaching. Great way to spend the last day of scholl holidays.
I have been flicking through the 2012 THOR catolouge. Some nice/different gear in there.
I have also been flicking through the 2012 ONE Ind. catolouge. Taking pre orders for the gear that is set to arrive at the end of October:) Very exciting!!!
Taking the van up to the Quad National titles at Coolum on Sunday. Should be some great action up there.
I'll be working in the shop tomorrow.

Thursday 29th September

Good afternoon,
I've just got in to work after spending a day down the Gold Coast with my youngest daughter for Irish Dancing.
Jess J was working this morning from 9am - 2:30pm. She has been busy adding more product to our website.
I have been checking google analytics & am very excited that all my stats are looking great. My visits are up 41%, bounce rate is about 32% which I've been told as long as it's below 50% that's good so obviously more & more people are checking us out:)
Nice to see the sun this afternoon after a bit of a wet morning.
Better go & catch up on things from being out this morning.
Bye,bye Kirsty
